Viral chest infection , asthma and I've got to work......

I went to see my GP as I've been feeling gradually worse all week. I have a tight, sore chest, I've got no energy at all and just want to sleep all the time.

I'm taking parecetemol, anti-bio and inhalers. I have massaged my chest and back with, rosemary, eucalyptus and lavender oils.

I have to work tomorrow. Has anyone got any ideas about speeding up my recovery so that I feel well for 8 hours, even if I have to go to bed straight after work?

I really wouldnt push yourself if you have asthma and a chest infection. It sounds as though you nedd to rest to recover.

I suffer from asthma and have ended up going to hospital at speed due to bad attacks. Its not good and puts you at major risk.then being on steroids and nebulisers for a week make you feel crap. I now listen more to my body and the odd time i feel tight chested i dont ignore it.

Work will always be there and someone will deal with any emergencies for you. If you were in an accident you couldnt go in and someone would have to provide cover.

Be kind to yourself and rest up x

if you work on Monday this could make you worse and therefore making you have to have far more time away from work.

This may make you feel worse before you feel better but go to bed and give up dairy; my DH has no asthma when he's off milk esp. Worth a try IMO.

Also wheat causes terrible tiredness. Good luck.
