Rose thorn in foot

Whilst stumbling about in my DD's bedroom last night when she woke up AGAIN, I stepped on something sharp which punctured my foot and made me turn the air blue. Turns out it was a rose thorn from the garden(?) which I pulled out; no bits of it left in foot, but foot very sore and bleeding a little.

Do I need a tetanus booster? Had one about 3 years ago... Of course, now I am imagining aches and pains in my foot as well as the sore bit where it punctured- anyone know what symptoms I should look out for?

Or can I just leave it and sit around in my pants all day, which is what I had planned?

If you've had 3 tetanus shots then you will be fine. Thats what I was told when I stepped on a rusty nail when I was pregnant. The bleeding will have helped to clean the wound a bit, stick on some antiseptic and keep an eye on it, but it should be fine.

it will be fine - am always digging thorns out of my foot. you are up to date on your tetanus so there won't be an issue.

Brilliant, thank you both

Let the sitting around commence!
