Help me, why did I google?

I have lost almost a stone in weight in the last 2 months (nearly 10% of my body weight) whilst eating like a pig and having reduced my usual exercise due to extreme tiredness.

After what seems like the 50th person asked me what my "secret" is I have booked a doctor's appointment for Monday and stupidly, googled the symptoms in the meantime.

Now I'm really scared I have colon cancer, especially as I have had a small amount of bleeding after opening my bowels for sometime. It started after I have DS1, 9 years ago and I always assumed it was due to the damage done during the birth. It really is a tiny amount of blood on the tissue, not in the stool, as if a small scab has been knocked off iyswim.

What other reasons are there for this weight loss?

Thanks Leonie.

My racing heart is often the first thing I'm aware of when I wake, although I have been to the doctor with that before (2 years ago, last time I went) and he was unconcerned. I have had shaky hands since I was a child. I sweat a lot at night, but not during the day.

Maybe could be Crohns disease?

Definitely sounds like an overactive thyroid to me. Bleeding on the loo paper is probably piles.......certainly is in my case!

Thank you. I was tested for an over active throid a few years ago, because of the night sweats (honestly I only go to the docs about once every 2/3 years!) and it was all clear. Is it something that can come on later?

Is it OK to go in and tell the doctor what tests I want, aren't I supposed to tell them what's wrong and let them decide?

Just occured to me that I had the worst PMS of my life last month, was an emotional wreck for 10 days. Could that be connected?
