numb patch of skin on sole of foot - am quietly worried about MS

any advice? It's about quarter of my sole, I had it before and it got better while pregnant. Feels numb. No pins and needles though.

I think I read that it can be a symptom of MS but I know if I got to no nonsense GP she will tell me not to worry.

I've googled it but without much result. I don't have a curved spine or diabetes (I don't think).

Just wondered if anyone had a brainwave about what to do? I am not a hypochondriac! I don't usually have weird stuff and have never been seriously ill or been in hospital.

Seriously, I do think you should see your GP but NOT because I think it sounds like MS. My mum was diagnosed with MS over 30 years ago but her early symptoms were not numbness. I have a patch on my left foot which is permanently numb (although it moves!) and I thought it might be as a result of the epidural I had when giving birth but haven't done anything about it either.

I'm not explaining myself very well! I think you're probably fine but surely it's best to get it checked out?

It's most likely to do with your sciatic nerve

My dad has it & I got a bit when PG - mine went away but my dad's needed manipulation

Oooh, and I have suffered with sciatica too so that's probably why I've got mine. Thanks KatyMac!

Unlikely to be MS, I would guess at something do with nerves also

thank you - I will leave it a bit longer then mention it to GP next time I go. It prob isn't anything serious as you say.

I feel much better just having posted about it. Therapeutic mn!
