I had a routine smear in January which came back bordelrine changes, my repeat one 6 weeks ago has just come back as Severe dyskaryosis/ CIN III and I have to wait for a colposcopy appointment now. I am very frightened what this means. I don't care about the treatment, colposcopy etc, that could hurt as much as childbirth for all I care as long as it makes me better but what I would like to know is if anyone else has gone through this and should I be as petrified as I am? Please help

I had that result at 26 and I am now 41. Keep to your check ups and NEVER let one slip. The colposcopy is just like a smear test but a little bit more invasive.

I have had 9 of them over the years. Stick with it - the tests will save your life. Cervical cancer is called the 'silent killer'.

You probably do not have cervical cancer you have a warning that you may get it.

Go to every appointment.

Jade Goody died because she ignored all of her check ups. That was stupid.

You will be fine because you will not ignore the letters. It is a bit like ignoring a lump in your breast. A stupid thing to do.

Matey you will be fine - just don't ignore it.
