NC for this.

You don't have to answer in a post, if you want to keep it quiet that you voted for Reform. Just pick the relevant option. (Just want to settle an argument with work colleagues!) Smile

Thanks for voting (those who have) Smile No-one over 55 so far! I'm quite surprised. Shock

Can you post a screenshot? You can only see the responses if you vote and I didn't vote reform

GlossyChipmonk · 04/07/2024 21:40

My parents are in their 80s and wouldn't spit on Farage if he was on fire.

Age doesn't make you a racist.

BitOutOfPractice · 04/07/2024 21:43

Well I hope Farage is pleased with himself because the thought of him with any power at all has scared my 87 year old mom to death 🙁

I think I am just surprised because the general consensus (from some) is that Reform voters are in the older age groups. Also, I certainly don't think that age makes people racist. Smile

Screenshot of results so far, if you cannot see the results (which you won't see, if you are not voting on this poll, as you didn't vote Reform.)

The other thing to consider is the percentage of people in each age group on Mumsnet as a whole.

If Reform voters are mainly 65+, say, but only a small percentage of Mumsnetters are, you'll get a skewed result.

Hmmm, worth considering I think, but I think MN could be a reasonably good indicator. There is an Exit Poll on here right now (5300 votes so far!) and it states around 49% of people have voted Labour. And Reform 7%.

I have a suspicion that may be roughly what it may be in the UK. I don't think it will be a million miles off.

I'm not sure how to vote in the app. I'm under 35 and voted Reform. First time I didn't vote labour. The trans issues swayed me. I was never going to vote conservative and knew reform wouldn't get in. So that was how i based my vote when I felt strongly personally about a specific issue.

Ooo. MN polls got fancy. (I'm on the app, and can't even see that there is a polll.)

I'm curious too about the reform supporters, but TBF, you'll have an age skew already by asking MNers only.
