Just a few days left to go let’s see where mumsnetters are at! Sorry for the limited options.

OP posts:

Can we have a don’t know option?

No, that is the max number of options unfortunately. You can of course comment as you have Grin.

Still not sure. On most issues it would be whoever might beat the Tories, which round here would mean Labour. But I'm really pissed off by the misogyny and projected further erosion of women's hard won sex based rights. So not convinced I can do it. But spoiling my ballot paper feels like a waste. I'm torn, and feel thoroughly disenfranchised.

Whu · 29/06/2024 21:11

Sorry for the errant apostrophe autocarrot added!

Blimey, Reform is on 20% even in mumsnet.

This is going to be an interesting election.

NotTerfNorCis · 29/06/2024 21:33

Labour. We badly need to fund our public services, and to kick out the culture of selfishness and greed.

MavisPennies · 29/06/2024 22:19

I can't believe how many people would be willing to vote reform on here.

HeBeaverandSheBeaver · 29/06/2024 22:46

Can't see results as on phone. Please can you pop them in the thread occasionally

If it helps I think I'm going Lib Dem as I have a disabled child and Ed Davis seems to get it.

Bazinga007 · 29/06/2024 23:01

Who the hell is voting for Reform, you might as well vote for the BNP.

Well I'm politically homeless so voting Reform-your reference to the BNP is just dates and silly. The whole 'two party' system needs a shake up, therefore I'm glad Farage is causing a stir. I hope he becomes leader of the opposition, which is his aim.

It's not silly; a Reform candidate just got exposed as a BNP member. Along with the Reform candidates who think Africans have a lower IQ, that black people are savage, that we should shoot immigrants and replace the police with paramilitaries. And they have your vote?

And some Labour MPs think women can have cocks.

Yeah, Reform are all about women's rights, what a great idea to throw your support to racists who admire Andrew Tate and want to get rid of maternity leave.

To be honest, I don't really give a shit about your opinions.
I made a statement of fact.

Solymoly · 29/06/2024 23:52

Are we all meant to vote Labour

Nat6999 · 30/06/2024 01:36

I've voted Labour by postal vote.

Ivyrosecrayon · 30/06/2024 02:23

I'd like to vote Green but realistically I'll be voting Labour. Our Labour candidate is an absolutely lovely guy so that's OK... but I can't say I'm at all impressed by Starmer. I think the tories gave been an absolute joke though.. run the country into the ground for their own financial benefit.
Reform is just a bunch of nut jobs trying to get in on clickbait nonsense issues.
I most agree with the Greens policies but they have no chance of getting in here and a vote to them would be basically a vote handed to the tories sadly.

Eminybob · 30/06/2024 02:55

I'm a lifelong labour supporter but will be spoiling my ballot this time as I can't vote for them due to the stance on womens rights.

It'll be interesting what happens in my constituency though, it's been a VERY safe tory seat for forever but I feel that may change.

emmag1925 · 30/06/2024 03:07

Some ppl are more tolerant than others

nomoretoriesforme · 30/06/2024 03:46

@abracadabra1980 I'm with you. Glad Farage is making waves- never thought I'd be voting for him but here we go.. Hope it will dent the current two party political system

This is so depressing.

countrypunk · 30/06/2024 04:06

I'm a lifelong Labour supporter but this time I'll be voting for the Social Democratic Party because of Labour's appalling stance on women's rights. I wrote to my MP about it and got a load of TWAW twaddle back. No thank you.

Garlicker · 30/06/2024 04:20

Still not 100% sure, but I'm likely to cast my first-ever Conservative vote. Always voted Labour before. I live in a solidly Conservative constituency, but Labour's polling surprisingly well. Our MP's OK.

Labour has, as usual, fielded a complete unknown but at least this one lives here - they've previously just chucked us whoever was going spare, from anywhere.

I think Labour's going to win the election but would like them to have some sound opposition because of women's rights. Voting to keep my Conservative MP in Parliament might help with that.

I bloody hate that Labour's forced so many of us into this political quandary!

hattie43 · 30/06/2024 06:28

I could never bring myself to vote Labour and the economy is turning around so it'll be Tory of perhaps Reform , undecided .
