DistinguishedSocialCommentator · 14/06/2024 10:11

When a labour person high up in the food chain ladder was asked to define what
a "working person was." he could NOT

So, Labour does not know what a "working person." are you able to help the socialist-led polical party??

Wes Streeting butchered by Nick Ferrari in 'working person' clash

Wes Streeting was interviewed by Nick Ferrari on LBC, and the pair clashed over what defines a "working person".

Lot of ‘butchering’ and ‘slaughtering’ going on on these pro Tory threads.
Nick Ferrari couldn’t fight his way out of a paper bag. Didn’t even know the difference between GDP and GDP per capita yesterday.
The guy’s a tory stooge, has been for years, only now is he occasionally pulling Tory guests up on stuff. And that’s because they really are so bad.

With a bit of luck Labour will address the issue of people who derive vast amounts of income from doing fuck all work like our PM who pays about 25% tax overall on his income, the vast majority of which doesn't come from working.

Your attempt to use socialist as a term of abuse/terror isn't going that well is it?

FYI - I am not voting Tory but have been a Tory voter and I have declared this many times
You have a point re FErrair but then you also have several fans of Labour on the same station, that is life

The question remains and hopefully can pull their heads out of the sand, what is a/are "working people"?? And I'm sure that about will increase taxes on those earning about lets say 125k and as its only about two person of the working people, many envious people will say, "that great they can afford it."

What people forget is then that figure will be frozen and its only when they fall into the trap of the higher tax bands they note, why should they work longer hours or even full time to load the govs pockets and the money to be thrown away at crap projects

FYI - I blame the tories for not increasing the tax allowance and I've been a strong advocate of racing the threshold to at least 18k per year. This would encourage many on benefits to return to work and reduce immigration as there are many who can work but wont and that is a fact many chose to ignore

OP claims not to be voting Tory this time despite a lifetime of doing so. Yet he posts page after page of anti Labour rhetoric.

Who will you support OP? Is it reform. Greens or the Lib Dems for you? Or will you waste a vote on an independent with no chance? Or will you just vote Tory again?

frankentall · 14/06/2024 12:31

here are many who can work but wont
How do you know this?

rwalker · 14/06/2024 12:53

I don’t see how they can’t

BurbageBrook · 14/06/2024 13:19

Oh it's you again, DSC. Yawn. What nonsense.

rwalker · 14/06/2024 12:53

I don’t see how they can’t

Millons are aware of that but I guess Labour banks on votes from those out of work long term, and those often living in social housing

I'm certain they will not raise PAYE but also review just like labour in Wales the council tax bindings - trust me what you pay will go up

Importantly, labour is gobsmacked every time they are asked about illegal immgarants that fail the asylum test

Be prepared for hyperinflation IMO and a bankrupt Britian

However, I can see the hunger for the socialist-led Labour as in any country, people would get fed up with someone is power for 15 years

Lets never forget, labour supported Brexit and the sale of council homes resulting in shortages

This is really getting into desperate territory now.

Who are you going to vote for OP?

frankentall · 14/06/2024 14:24

Importantly, labour is gobsmacked every time they are asked about illegal immgarants[sic] that fail the asylum test

Which is a bit of a laugh considering they are being asked about how they will solve a problem created entirely by the current government's incompetence.

Oh. So will you be voting for the socialists this time, then?
Seeing as you're so keen on equality for all.
