I really like him! He's full of character and energy. I love his commitment to carers too.

I can't vote Lib Dem due to their misogyny sadly, but I wish I could vote for Ed!

Honestly ? he knows he won't win an election but might just pinch enough seats off the Conservatives to make his party relevantish again.

Reported my own post for inaccuracy in linking Challoner to the Lib Dems instead of the Green Party.

AC was involved in both. I think after leaving the Greens, Aimee had a very brief spell with the Lib Dems. I think Graham Linehan has a good summary on his substack.

Oh thanks for that!

Was very briefly diversity officer for the lib dems in Civentry. When Jo Swinson was leader. 2021 according to google. Suspended by the lib dems fairly swiftly.

Ed Davey was paid £833 an hour - over £220,000 in total - to advise lawyers who were acting for the Post Office. Taking taxpayers’ money to persecute innocent people in the Horizon scandal.

As Postal Affairs minister, Davey refused to believe Alan Bates about Post Office bullying. But was happy to jump into the trough after the scandal was revealed.

This is a man not to be trusted I'm afraid.

Likeable. On top of his brief. Has government experience. Plain speaking. Not a racist.

I read the Lib Dem manifesto today. I actually really like quite a lot of their policies

Help me! I am in a seat where only the LD can beat the Tories but Ed Davey is stopping me from voting for them. The women with penises comment and the sheer inanity of his campaign.

What to do?

OriginalUsername2 · 14/06/2024 17:07

Seems like an overgrown child but I’ve only seen him going “Weeeeeeee!” on various rides.

I am in the exact same position

Read what Curtiss said below, fact-check it, realise "sir" ED is really not ok either, and then enjoy the absence of nausea, after voting for who or what you want, with integrity.

Just had a mini argument with my local LibDems online, questioning their priorities and asking them what they stood for, as it's not clear. I got a three-word answer "read the manifesto" 🤣 then a rant about how crap the Tories are. They are so weak and ineffectual at debating, it's no surprise they've been on the sidelines for however many decades it is now.

Up here I too am surrounded by cretins people with questionable voting choices. But I will still have my say.
