Struggling to find a death record

First time posting on this board so I'm sorry if it's a bit all over the place.

I'm trying to find a death record for my great grandmother. My grandmother told me that she died during/after giving birth to twins in 1938. The twins also died. I've found the death record for the twins but can't find the mother.

The story my grandmother had told me was that she, as a then 7 year old, wondered why the twins had come home when her mum was still in hospital. As she said, nobody told children anything in those days. So as far as my grandmother knew, her mum had died very soon after the birth. I've searched for death records in my great grandmother's name for 1938-1939 but there's nothing at all coming up that could be her.

I just wondered if anyone has any suggestions. This was in Northern Ireland so I've been searching on GRONI and have paid for the full death entry for one of the twins to make sure I'm looking in the right place. I've also looked on MyHeritage but again, nothing.

I've also attached an image of the death record for the newborn as I can't work out what the first word of the cause of death is. Can anyone decipher this?

That reads to me as debility from birth.

Yes, same

Is there a chance she died in southern Ireland?

Thanks, I thought it looked like debility but had never heard that word.

Maybe! They lived very close to the border and the twins died at home. I thought I had already found their birth record on GRONI but I've just checked again and it isn't there. It seems there's a possibility they were born in the Republic and that could be where she died. Hadn't actually considered that so thank you, it's something to explore!

Do you have any access to local papers to check for a death notice? Or a notice of the funeral? That would give you a date.
Is it possible to check burial or cemetery records? Do you know where the twins were buried?
Also is it possible her death was registered under a name different from the name she was known by? Say she was always called Polly but her name was really Theresa and that's how she was registered?

Have you looked for the birth records of the twins? The other thing to search for is where they were buried. If the mother passed away as well, chances are that she's buried in the same place. A pp's suggestion of checking local newspapers is a good shout.

Thanks all. I found it. Her name had been spelled incorrectly on the database. And as the births were less than 100 years ago, they aren't on GRONI. I also found their burial records, right down to the plot they are buried in thanks to someone having published an academic paper specifically about the graveyard they are buried in!
