Do you keep separate summary notes for each person in your tree?

I'm a long time user of Ancestry and Family Search and find them both very useful for sources, hints and collating trees. I find them less useful for a quick view summary of each individual. I don't always want to see all the info on one page, especially when I'm trying to do something like date matching to make sure I've got the right person. There's not enough in the tree summary and too much in the profile. I'm thinking of using an index card app to do a summary for each person. Anyone else do this? If so, what info would you make a note of? Or am I just doubling up work?

I have an A4 sheet for each person in a lever-arch file, and on it I keep track of whether I've got a copy of their BMD certificates, and what other source records I used when finding information.

I also write down things like all their known addresses, and stuff like the names of witnesses on their marriage certificate.

Quite glad I started doing it like that, as a pillock of a software engineer wiped my Family Tree Maker data when doing a clean-up. Stupid bastard didn't back it up first. This was 30+ years ago. I haven't done all that much research in recent years.
