Does anyone use wikitree? It claims to be "Where advanced genealogists and casual family historians collaborate on a global family tree for our cousins and descendants" and yet I have found it full of egregious errors. For example, it gives me a line of descent from Edward iii, yet it is clearly wrong by 1780. I am deeply sceptical of its claims.

I've looked at it in the past and it doesn't seem particularly good.

After reading your post here I just went back to have another look and compared the information there about some of my ancestors living in the late 1600s / early 1700s.

What I found wasn't inaccurate as such but it was certainly missing out on siblings that I know were alive then.

Frankly, to my mind, this seems no different to something like Geanenet [spelling?] that Ancestry sometimes uses as a source. Essentially just another person's tree which may or may not be accurate.

For one of my gggg grandparents it gives a name and ancestry, yet the evidence listed next to it is for a completely different person in another town altogether! The evidence is for the person I have in my tree not their imaginary connection. It is very poor in my opinion.
