Over the last 30 years I have researched a lot of my family tree. At the beginning I used family tree maker computer program. Although I knew it was getting old I liked the layout of it so always stuck with it. However my Uncle is keen to seen our family tree and it got me thinking should I put it online.
Is Ancestry.com the best place to go this or are there any other platforms to put my tree on?
Thanks

No expert but Family Echo has been great for our needs

I use Ancestry.com for mine. It has the advantage that you can tailor the access you grant to other family members from 'look' only, up to full editorial access where they can change/add/erase the data in exactly the same way you can. I'm pretty precious about my tree though as there's so much work been put in to it and I would be gutted if it got accidentally erased, so I tend to set my invites to 'look only'.

Online, or software packages like Family Tree Maker, Roots Magic you can store the tree on a laptop and upload to Ancestry and other similar sites.
