Which DNA site? Not ancestry

Has anyone had success with a DNA site? Ancestry messed me about over months and no results so I asked for a refund.
Any recommendations? I'm in England. TIA

It depends why you are doing it?
If it's to aid your genealogy the ancestry is still the best as it has a bigger database than the others.
You can upload this dna to others but it doesn't work the other way round.
My heritage is quite popular with Europeans.
Ftdna offers the more specialist testing eg ydna.

It would be throwing the baby out with the bath water.
ancestry are best for seeing other people’s trees and then uploading to my heritage.
I find my heritage much harder and any results from there cannot be uploaded to Ancestry.
23 and me are absolute rubbish at the moment though so definitely don’t go there.

Thanks. Ancestry messed me around and took ages then nothing. Shame it's the best then?

I might just leave it. It was to find out something about my dad's dad.

What do you mean by no results? You must have got lots of matches. Do you mean you didn't find what you were looking for? No site can guarantee that, I'm afraid.

@LordBuckley no I mean I had to resend the test and it's been going on since October. Hasn't reached the lab?

Anyway I've asked for another test. It's actually £10 cheaper? 3rd time lucky. Thanks for the advice everyone.

I am also on FamilytreeDNA (at least I think it's called that). I found several 2nd & 3rd cousins there. The keen genealogy people seem to be on multiple sites, 23&Me, too.
