Hi, does anyone know how I get hold of a death certificate for an ancestor who died in the 60s?

The GRO website doesn’t list death certs for the years 1958 to 1973…

There's an even bigger gap for births! :-)

Look up the death on FreeBMD, then you can order the certificate on GRO with the reference...

I managed to get a death certificate for 1963. I got that via GRO about 10 years ago.

Do you know any details around their death such as the location? If you do you can contact the local council for a copy of the certificate, you don't have to contact GRO. It's normally transcribed through council aswell.
