Help deciphering 1941 census place of birth

Would anyone help me in trying to decipher this place of birth from the 1941 Scotland Census please? It's the middle line I'm looking at. The digitized version records this as Forfar, Mintorn and relates to my ancestor Joseph Leslie who was born in about 1786. I can't find a Mintorn in Forfar, nor any birth records for him in Scotland at all with the info I have (I've searched 10 years either way) so am starting to wonder if perhaps I'm looking in the wrong place!

1841 I am assuming? Forfar definitely. There is a Murton in Forfarshire, just to the east of Forfar town.

Bear in mind you may be looking for something which does not exist any more. Not all parish registers have survived from the 18th century and registration was not compulsory until 1855.
