Would anyone be able to advise me by pm please?
I have centimorgan results & probable relationships for 2 possible relatives.

Ive had a kind person PM me but I still need to share this I think.
It's (for me anyway) A Momentus Moment
(only I don't have the Long Lost Family camera crew in my kitchen!)

Oh goodness OP, this is a momentous occasion. Can you tell us more?

54isanopendoor · 01/08/2023 08:34

@BreathingDeep Yes! (thank you!)
but firstly can I ask:
I used MyHeritage.
I used my real name (as I thought you had to) but I don't especially want 1 member of the family to 'see' me there. He has come up as a DNA match. I have not clicked the 'Review DNA match' button. He is not currently associated with a family tree on MH. Will he be able to see me / my matches please do you know?

Did you ever get an answer to this @54isanopendoor?

@SiouxsieSiouxStiletto Not really. I think relative CAN see what I can see on the site. I'm trying to work out whether he is the 'half sibling' suggested, rather than the Uncle I thought he was. I have birth certs (but my family have a history of lying on those!) & there are no relatives I can ask (certainly NOT him!)
I had wondered about also doing Ancestry in case more people are on there but I'm not really sure how to 'read' the data anyway so that might just be a waste £?
