Hi. I'm trying to help complete my family tree for my mum.

My grandma never knew her father.

I'm on find my past and Ancestry

I'm dyslexic and Autistic and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

My grandma doesn't have her father on her birth certificate.

We think my grandmas mum was foreign / can't say for certain. No one ever spoke about her childhood / family / grandmas father.

You might need to do a dna ancestry one. 23 and me is good

You're not doing anything wrong, it's that the records may not help in these circumstances. It's usual for children born out of marriage not to have the father's name given.

Only two options really are submitting DNA to the sites that do that (Ancestry/23 and Me); and possibly seeing if there is a court record for child maintenance (not likely to be online) - if you say date and area I can advise where to look for this.
