I am using Find my Past and doing quite well on the family tree. I've had a break for a few weeks, returned to it tonight and people have disappeared!! People, places, profiles, all gone. I've tried everything I can think of and really don't want to start again. I've tried differing views etc - does anyone have any ideas how I can get them back?

I would contact Findmypast and ask them what's happened to it.

Have you got more than one login? Could it be possible that you are using the wrong one and your tree is stored under the other? i have about 6 FMP logins, to take full advantage of the initial free trial

Happened to me too. I've lost a LOT of research that took me years.
I posted on here a while ago but got no replies.

Never got round to speaking with find my past as I'd had to speak with my heritage around the same time and lost the will to live.

I know this doesn't help your situation now, but would suggest keeping your own separate records in a Word document, and draw your own family trees in Powerpoint (which are a lot better than the ones they make for you.) Then you won't lose everything if you lose access and you can add notes and screenshot documents etc into as well.

Having also had data wiped in the past, I am now much more in favour of the lever arch file approach, with a sheet for each person and a coded mumbering system for each surname.
