Occupation help - Scotland

Hi all

Wondering if anyone knows what the occupation ‘FC Can Man’ might mean? It’s my grandfather’s occupation on the 1901 census. He lived in Scotland if it makes a difference.

In Scotland FC is sometimes used for fisherman and crofter. Did he live rurally?

His mother was a farm servant and grandfather a farm labourer so that would make sense. Any idea what ‘can man’ is? I had hoped it was the local football team - would have been more exciting than the long history of farm hands!

Maybe he looked after the cans for milk?
