Birth stats from 1935

Have posted in Chat too for traffic, but thought someone here might be able to guide me. I’m trying to find out how many babies were born in Britain on May 6th 1935, my Mums birthday. Did a google search, looked at Office of National Statistics website and National Archives but got a bit bogged down there, will revisit! Any helpful tips gratefully received! X

It depends how accurate you need it to be. I just searched the 1939 register by birth date of 6/5/35 and there were 3230 people registered with that birthdate. However obviously some people will be missed off, or moved away, some will have died as babies or young children. But it gives you a rough idea.

Actually having said that it might not include people who have not yet died which could be quite a lot.
