Hi I'm really struggling, I posted earlier about my MIL and her Palmer her son off on me for the weekend and then staying herself after they don't contact us and there's a lot more as to why I don't want them here! Her son has given me an awful cough (she sent her son here when he's got croup) we have a 2 bed flat and it's just about big enough for us and my unborn daughter that's due to arrive.
I've got 5 weeks left but a scan next week and depending how much she's weighing I maybe induced early. Now they are asking if I can have her son AGAIN next weekend? Please tell me I'm not wrong.. if I also do go into unexpected labour her son has no where to go? I'm so emotional had this at the start of my pregnancy and haven't yet managed to enjoy my new home yet! Absolute joke

Just. Say. No.

You're posting in the wrong topic, this is for people doing genealogy and researching their family trees. Ask MN to move your thread for you because it won't get seen in here.

It's not wrong of you to Just Say No.

You don't need to offer a reason, or apologise. Just send a text: "Thanks for your message, but it's not convenient this weekend". When baby's born and you're asked again, text: "I won't be able to provide any childcare until baby has had the first round of vaccinations, and probably not for at least 6 months."

It's easier to say no by text and you need to start as you mean to go on. She'll get used to it.

Not your child, not your responsibility. Look after yourself and good luck with the next few weeks.
