Hi my dad left 4 years ago and I’ve not spoken to him since. he told me that he would be back and that he was just having a break a few weeks later we found out he was in a new relationship and it really hurt me. My mum never stopped us from seeing him but she didn’t encourage it either now I want to get in contact with him I have his phone number but don’t know what to say. I don’t want my mum finding out because she’s went behind my back and now I really don’t trust her. He lives like 4 hours away so visiting isn’t easy either also he texts me on my birthday and Christmas
