Anyone know how to merge Gedcom files

I've stupidly started 2 family trees on ancestry, and would like to combine them without going to all the trouble to print one off and re-key all the information.

I could export them both as separate Gedcom files, but would then need software to merge them.

Does anyone know of any reliable software that would do this?

TIA

I'm pretty sure Family Historian can do this but I haven't used it for several years. You may find that you can just download a free trial version that will be valid for 30 days or something which will be enough for your purpose.
If it works, when you upload it back to Ancestry put it into a new tree, that way if there are any problems that aren't immediately obvious you haven't overwritten your original.

Thanks for that, I found a program called GenMerge via google, got a trial, and it worked perfectly.

It also did a trawl through my 2 files first, and found duplicates and all sorts of other things.
