Hi there,
I would like to know what relation my brother's partner's sister's children are to my 2 DS? I am good friends with the sister and our children often play together but we are never sure if we should call them cousins of something else...any one out there know?
Thanks

Hi

Your brother(B) and his partner's(P) children would/will be your nieces and nephews. However P's sister's(S) children will be no relation to you or your children. The S's children will be cousins to B&P's children and your B's nieces and nephews.

But it sounds like your a close family so call them cousins if you want to.

I have a cousin who is the grandmother of my niece and nephews. They call her grandma. Even though she is my boys cousin too, they call her grandma X too. Just makes things easier for the kids.

Hope that helps.
