Pesky Blackberry 8520 will not let me view MN but it lets me surf every other web site..... any ideas if certain settings need changing?

Whenever I try and get onto MN on my Blackberry 8520 it downloads the page no problem and quite fast. So I can see the usual MN page & ads for a moment... then the screen goes white and acts like there isn't anything there at all. Nothing on the screen and no option to scroll anywhere?

My old Blackberry 8320 (which broke) let me use MN with no problems but my new one doesn't .

I can see everything else on line, even photo heavy sites (intellectual stuff like Perez Hilton) and do banking which seem to have more complicated sites.

Any ideas what setting I might need to tweak to get it working? Browser configuration / Java script / pop ups / slow running scripts / embedded media etc?

Might not be able to reply until Weds by the way as I'm dead busy tomorrow but TIA and I'll be back!

Have you got Opera Mini? I can see and post on MN on my 8520. I would willingly compare settings?

Thanks . I'm going to investigate Opera mini now....

The Mumsnet site is particularly well written and has a number of "errors". Some browsers are fine with those errors and manage to cope with the site. It's possible that the browser on your new Blackberry is being very precise about what it expects and isn't able to handle this site.

So do try another browser such as Opera Mini.

And perhaps we should all nudge the admins to give this site a bit of a scrub down.

I was thinking about pestering Big Tech to see why MN is the only site that won't work .

Sill haven't had chance to download the Opera mini, will try it out this weekend.
