Dumb iPad /iPhone /iTunes question

How to I set iTunes up so that I have different Apps on my iPad and my iPhone? There are some I want on both but some I only want on one or the other and I have no idea how to do this.

I don't have an iPad yet (jealous smiley) but assume that each device shows up in i-tunes independently therefore you can chose what apps to have on each device just check or uncheck the apps that you want on that particular device (that's how it works whith an iPhone and iPod Touch). HTH

Yeah, ignore that and tell it it's something different. It's a pain setting up all the initial apps but any future ipad only apps you buy only get synced to ipad and vice versa with iphone apps. I have both, and after the initial WTF?! it's all gone smoothly - they both have different identities when syncing.
