pc won't start up first time, disk error message

it says disk boot failure, please insert disk and press enter.

have no idea what it means, don't think i have a disk!

it does usually start up eventually though

Does it give you an option to press one of the function keys to go to "last known safe settings" or similar? If so, use it.

if that doesn't work, open it in Safe Mode.

Then run Malwarebytes and a decent anti-virus check.

no it just says insert disk then i have to turn it off and on again.

i ran malware (though not in safe mode) and it found nothing, should i run it again in safemode?

also the fan is incredibly noisy now and again. do you have any ideas why this is too?

My fan is noisy too. It does that...

If you've run malwarebytes and found nothing then you don't need to run it again. I'd get an expert in though. I had someone look over my PC and the diagnostics he ran found something malwarebytes had missed!
