Can I make my own business cards on Word?

And does anyone know how to do it? I want to knock up a few for now and then get some done professionally later. It doesn't matter if they're on paper and just little flyers it's mainly to get my phone number out there. I'm a hairstylist and am going freelance.
TIA

Do you have a printer? If so, you can print onto (coloured) card or stiff paper for more durable cards.

You could try using Page Properties to decrease your printing margins as much as possible (the programme should tell you if the borders are set "outside the printable area").

Then create a table which fills the screen. Fiddle about until you get everything evenly distributed. For keeping the cells the same size, I think you have to go to Cell Height (or Row Height) and use the option "at least" That will save you from messing about with formatting later.

Make sure to leave margins for the business card itself!

As for cutting, have you got a friend who has a guillotine? That's the best way to keep the edges neat.

I hope this helps. I gave up on Word a while ago (can't stand the new version) and went to OpenOffice, so am a bit rusty! However, the setups are similar, so I hope I haven't led you too badly astray .

You can get some done online, really cheaply - less than the cost of a couple of take-out cappucinos, and it'll save you loads of time.

I used VistaPrint - www.vistaprint.co.uk and was delighted with the results.
