I want to buy a netbook - are they all much of a muchness?

I always attempt to research these things before buying but than confuse myself into a corner.

Basically, I want something I can look at the internet (mn), facebook, youtube and check emails on. I'd like to watch stuff on iplayer. I don't want to pay too much - there's an Acer one for about £240. And I don't want a laptop. I just want to surf and watch telly at the same time really

Any to avoid and what should I look for in particular?

Glad I've found this thread. Now DH knows what I want for Xmas .
He has a great big 10yr old Dell laptop that he says I can use, but it's far too big to use in bed.
