Open Office on Windows 7

I bought my first laptop a few months ago and had a free trial of MS Office, which has now ran out. I had originally planned to try OpenOffice but there doesn't seem to be a version that can be used with Windows 7. Has anyone successfully installed and used OpenOffice on Windows 7?

yes, I did it a couple of weeks ago, though I haven't used it much yet. I don't remember having any problems with the downloading.
