Laptop will not access website (Topshop)?

Since yesterday, I can no longer access the topshop website.
Whenever I try to get it up I get the following error message (in a sort of a table form):

Generic Application Error

ErroR Type:0

Error Message Key:ERR CMD INVALID PARAM

Message:User system CMN0207E The value of parameter "storeID" is not correct

Originating Command: TopCategoriesDisplay

WTF?
I could access the site fine yesterday and even placed an order successfully (delivered today!) but since then I cannot get back into it and I need to in order to get a returns code (!!)

I am on a MACbook if that makes a difference, using standard Safari browser.

Everyone else I know can get into it fine, the site is def not down.

Have already tried clearing my history and my cache what else could I do?

TIA
(Got someone coming round for a bit now but will be back on later)

looks as though you have a cookie or session variable set - clear your cache & try again, sorry, don't know how to do that using safari, but on ie its the tools menu

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2010 15:21

try copying & pasting this

www.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/TopCategoriesDisplay?storeId=12556&catalogI d=19551

it has a storeid set

if you google it & click on top link, whats the storeid

StealthPolarBear · 14/04/2010 15:22

is this the error?

BadgersPaws · 14/04/2010 16:11

That looks like something on their site going wrong. Have you cleared down your Cookies (I can't recall if clearing history and cache does this)?

It's possible you've got an invalid store ID held on a cookie on your machine.

Or it's also possible that they're broken their web site and are having problems with people using Safari on a Mac. Do the people who you know can get to the site use the same setup?

StealthPB and BadgersPaws - thanks so much for looking at this for me

I should have just linked to the error in my op:

here it is

I get this page come up even when I click on the topshop top entry on google.

BadgersPaws - I will ask on S&B and see if anyone using a mac and safari can access it in case it is the topshop website that's broken.

I think you might be right re the cookie being wrong but I do not know how to clear it ?

Anyone else know how to delete a cookie on a macbook?
