Where has iTunes hidden my pictures on my laptop?

I can't even find the music it's there as I can access it & the pics were saved as I had to restart the phone a couple of weeks ago. I want to print the pics I took last week but can't access them

Any ( very simple ) explaination/advice?

Is this on a PC or a Mac?

To find the music right click on a track and select "Get Info", somewhere on that screen it should tell you where the file actually is.

I don't think that iTunes explicitly keeps photos, though what it will do is to backup a phone so it might be stashing them somewhere, but perhaps not somewhere obvious.

It used to sync with a particular file but now it hides them & I want to print my pics!

I'm not sure that iTunes has ever synced photos off an iPhone. Certainly on a Mac it can sync photos off of your Mac and onto your Phone but not the other way around.

It's expected that you manage your photos using whatever you usually manage your photos with, so on a Mac you use iPhoto. So if the photos are still on your phone plug it into your computer and take them off as you would if it were any other type of camera.

I can't do that as the computer doesn't recognise the phone as a 'drive' so can't get into my phone that way

There are some people talking about how to do this on a PC here:

In particular there seem to be two main routes, one is a Windows dialogue popping up when you plug in the phone and the other is seeing in in My Computer.

I used to get the dialogue box but then it stopped and I can't see it in my computer will trawl through the link though see if there is a way round it .

Thanks
