can anyone recommend a PDA? cheapish.

i mean like a palm top or a personal digital assistant - i need one for my son who has special needs and the bloody college have taken the one they lent him back.

he is already not managing without it so im going to have to replace it.

its got to be able to store his timetable and bleep when he needs to remember stuff....you can tell i dont use one right?

can anyone help? cheapish please. ta muchly

Sorry, only just seen this. I'd actually recommend an iPod Touch. I used to have a Compaq iPaq in the old days, but needed to upgrade and went to an iPod and it's great.

It does everything I need, diary, contacts, notes, email, calculator and much more (including music and games!).

Not sure how cheap is cheap, but as it was more than half the price of my original compaq, I thought that £179 (I think that's what I paid), was reasonable.

thankyou - id not even thought of an Ipod.

other option is a phone that does it all - an I phone or blackberry i guess.

iPhone and Blackberrys are expensive on the tarif front. DH would recommend an iPhone for usability before a Blackberry. If your DS doesn't need a phone, he'd probably be better off with a touch.
