Macbook: Where are the Downloads?

Have been downloading, and have absolutely no idea where the downloads are going, so use the Finder to locate them!

There must be an easy way to do this!

What are you downloading stuff with?

I believe that Safari, for example, downloads stuff straight to the desktop but it will vary by application.

In your home folder this is a folder called Downloads. Everything should default to there unless you change the settings in each application.

So, Download folder is where? And can I drag it to desktop?

If you go to the Preferences Menu (under the Safari Menu) one of the options should be "Save downloaded items to" and changes that to be whatever you want, mine is just set to "Desktop".
