Killed my iphone. got a new one. Follwed instructions, syced the new one. Got my contacts, calendar etc, but none of the apps.

So, how exactly do I get ALL the info (music would be good too, but not a deal breaker, as can manually do it from our library, but would be easier if I could just transfer it)

Or am I stuffed?

Am a bit that it didn't automatically do it alongside my contacts, notes and calendar tbh.

hm, dunno but am watching thread with interest as will shortly replace my dead iPhone and am worried that all the stuff I bought on the new one (and hadn't got round to sharing with computer) will be lost

I think you need to right click on 'ernest's iPhone' in iTunes and choose Transfer purchases. I haven't had to do it myself but that's what my friend said she did. That's on a PC btw, don't know about a Mac.

I transferee my apps to dp's new iPhone by doing what Rustybear said.

quick update. Thank you very much. I reconnected, clicked transfer purchases as you said and it worked fine. Dead easy (I did it all by myself, (well with your help) no need to run to dh, lol) No data lost. My only gripe is my meticulously organised apps have just been bunged on any old how, so will have to spend ages fannying about bringing it all in order again., but a minor point, I realise. Thanks Rustybear & 4&no.

MiffyWhinge - no need to worry!
