Can anyone help me - every time I try to access the internet through firefox i get a message on the screen saying 'chrome registration has failed.Contact the author to solve this problem'. What is Chrome registration? Who is the author? This pops up about 4 times, then I am allowed to access the internet, although sometimes it has a problem, and it always comes up with a pop-up window which tells me an add-on has been installed.

I did try a system restore, but I am not sure I did it right. The only othe rthing I can think of is that dh installed a new wireless printer last week - could that be causing this?

Your problem is not with Firefox, it is with Google Chrome which you, or someone else using your machine, has tried to install.

Probably best to reinstall Firefox (www.getfirefox.com). Then use Control Panel and Add/Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) to uninstall Chrome.

Mranchovy, can I offer you a virtual drink as a thank you for sorting out my computer?

Sure - it's in the fridge. Shall I get one for you too?
