Can I trace when my kids have been on their DS?

Ok, I sound a bit sneaky here, so let me explain. A short while ago I heard a thud from DS2's room (he's 7). I raced upstairs and expected to see him in a crumpled heap having fallen out of bed or something. Anyway, he was standing up, out of bed, looking a bit too awake for someone that went to bed 2 hours previously. i asked him if he was ok, and he said," yeah fine, what time is it? I can't get to sleep."
He's never normally had a problem getting to sleep, and if he ever does find it hard to get to sleep, he's down the stairs fast enough to tell me this!!
Anyway, I just have a bit of a suspicion that he was on his DS. We're quite strict about the amount of time normally he would be on it. I don't want to ask him directly because I don't want to put ideas in his head if the answer is no.
Is there any sort of log on the Ds to see when it has been played/how long it has been played for???

I wouldn't try to trace how long etc, I'd just make a rule they're kept downstairs after 7pm or something

yep you have a good point cirrhosis. I have been very slack with him and putting temptation in his way by not moving it out of his room. Will move it to a new home, and rather than be a lazy tike in the evening slobbing on the sofa as soon as lights out, I will go up and check on him after half an hour or so.
