So, someone put more songs onto DSs iPods. They are not in the music library on my PC. What is going to happen when they next get synched on this PC? Can I stop the songs being lost? Can they be pulled across to my music library?

Google "pod to pc"

You can use the software to put music from your ipod onto your pc.

Thanks. Yes, I've seen that (recent threads asking about old iPods and new PCs ). TBH, I don't want to faff about.

Can I still put stuff on the iPods wihout losing the stuff that some dimwitted twat kind person put on them?

And can I plug the iPods in without them synching automatically?

I'm sure when you plug in your ipod there is a choice between "sync all songs" and "sync selected songs".

I think that when I plug one in though, it just goes ahead and synchs (each iPod synchs with its own playlist so they don't end up with stuff they don't want). Maybe it doesn't... I can't remember! My iPhone does.

It all seemed so straightforward.
