Have decided to get a Blackberry curve. I am with O2 at the moment but their upgrade package for this phone is pants.

Have seen the Blackberry I want on Orange for £25 a month with a good number of texts/ free minutes and internet.

But the best deal with Virgin. £25 free texts and all internet including the Blackberry e-mail system and a free phone. With 02 the phone is not free and they want extra for the Blackberry bolt on- costs a fortune.

I like 02, have been with them for years. But I also really want this phone. Is Virgin OK? Or do you think 02 might do me a deal as I have been with them for years?

I was with o2 until start of this month when my contract ran out. I also decided that O2 upgrades/deals were crap - I did ring and see if they could do me a deal and they wouldn't.

So I've switched to Virgin - so far so good (although obviously not long enough to judge really).

I ordered my new phone on a Saturday night - it arrived on the Monday morning. Then I rang on Tuesday just gone to arrange to keep my old number and they were very quick and helpful, arranged for it to be done on Friday and they said it could be any time from 12.01am to 11.59pm - not sure exactly what time the "switch" occurred but it was sorted by 10am when I checked.

Yes I have a feeling that 02 are going to be very inflexible! Their Tariffs and choice of phones are really lame. More fool them- can't understand why they haven't got wise to all the other fantastic deals around. They are going to lose alot of custom.

Any more opinions on Virgin?

I]'ve been with virgin for nearly 2 years and their customer service is excellent, so much better than orange.

The only thing is I don't think virgin have a huge selection of phones, but they are very good value for money.

That's what I think too- are the deals really as good as they seem?

I agree about orange- DD has been with them for the last year and they are just diabolical so I was very reluctant to change to them.

The "Which?" report seems to suggest good customer satisfaction with Virgin (higher than 02 and Orange) although their are forums on the net that seem to universally condemn them but people very rarely post on such forums unless they want to complain!

I really liked Virgin Mobile. No problems with customer service. I moved to O2 this month as DH got me an iphone 3GS and Virgin don't do iphone.

I've been with Virgin mobile since they started about 6 or 7 years ago.

I think they are fantastic, they always manage to sort out problems quickly, whoever you speak to in customer services takes the time to deal with your query rather than fobbing you off and the online account site works really well.

I'd recommend them to anyone, and as my DD1 wants a blackberry, knowing that they are available on virgin now makes me more likely to say yes when it's upgrade time.

Thanks- I like 02 but their deals on Blackberries are astronumical- what about coverage- did you find that OK with virgin?

TBH I don't find the coverage with 02 that great either at work or home.

Virgin claim three bars (good) coverage at home.

Ok I'm convinced. Now I just need to choose between the Blackberry and the E72 which I've noticed I can get for £22 a month on Virgin...
