I can't get the R4 card to work - urgent help needed!

I have 2 to sort for friends

I have always done DSTT cards before with no problem, but I can't seem to find the right software to get the R4 working, it just keeps giving me a red "menu?" on the screen

The latest I have tried is v29 from here

Pleeeeease someone must be setting these up for Christmas

Hi Flame, I'll just compare mine, I have one with a DSTT and one with R4 so I'll see what software is on each one BRB

R4 has the following files:
system (folder)
games (folder)
moonshl (folder)
DSMENU.DAT DSMENU.SYS DSMSHL.BAK DSMSHL.nds DSMSHL.SAV

DSTT has the following files:

TTMenu (folder)
TTMenu.DAT
TTMenu. SYS
games (folder)

Don't know if that helps at all?

this is what we used and it works no bother.

be warned though, when you select a game it can take ages to load and you moght think it's frozen but just wait it out and it gets there eventually

Flame, DH says that link is for R4 SDHC which is different from the standard R4. Which one do you have? I can give you a link to for the standard one if that's what you have?

box says r4 sdhc. I've tried normal R4 one as well (v18?)

I need to do meridian's too, but don't have her card here (just the sd card) so no idea which file I should use for her.

Ahh then IDK I'm afraid (we've only got the standard one, don't know about the SDHC version)

I'm sorry - I am a little bit stressed with children yelling at me, decorations still not up, a tired newborn with a cold, and DH's work mate wanting this bloody thing done in time for christmas.

I was planning to come back and properly reply/thank people when I was sorted.

Ahh, Ignore me, I'm just being a cranky bitch tonight, have a numpty buyer on Ebay, kids are hyper after throwing up all weekend, Desktop has died & parrot has picked off 4 keys on my laptop!

Already opened LOL The parrot is seriously driving me nuts, we got a kitten 2 weeks ago and she's very vocal so now Charlie (my parrot) is miaowing all the time

can you tell me exactly what the box says the name of the card is? (i have various links based on the card ), or a photo of it?
