lost puk code for iphone

Hi,

I have just bought a new iphone for my son and he has lost the bloody puk code for it. Any advice re what to do? Should we go back to the shop where we took out the contract or can this be sorted out over the phone. Any importantly, will it cost anything? Bloody kids

Should say we bought this 3 days ago and obviously have reciept, copy of the contract etc. He is panicking, I am very cross and smelly (have been through last 3 days rubbish looking for this)
