Help, how do I set up a wii?

I've bought my DS a wii for xmas, just trying to test it (yes really, honest I don't want to play it!) I can't get a picture on my tv.

The wii is plugged in. I've got the cable that goes from the wii to the tv - plugged into the red/yellow/white holes - found a free channel on my tv and have tried to tune it in, but aren't getting anything except bbc1,2,3,4, and 5! Where am I going wrong?

You don't need to tune it in, it works in the same way as most DVD players or satellite boxes do.

Turn your TV on and then turn the Wii on, it might automatically flip to it.

If it doesn't then look on your TV remote for a button labelled something like "EXT" or "AV". That might do it, or it might take a few presses.

On my TV once I've put it into AV mode I then have to use some other buttons to select which AV input I'm watching as my TV's got a few of them.

If you can't get it working then find your TV manual and look for the section on SCART connections or it might even have something on connecting things like satellites or consoles.
