help my computer was fine until I clicked on something now it is soooo slow something to do with a

to do with a script trying to access /update your computer it came up while I was playing pathwords and it said to click if you did not want it to slow down your computer

I did not read it properly clicked and got green o's flying out fom behind the pathwords board.

Ever since then my computer has been soo slow. I shut it down I ran a scan nothing found but think something is lurking some where now lol.
I also deleting temp files but no faster.

Can anyone help has anyone had anyhing similar?

Mine is also running really slowly, I keep getting a message like that and firefox keeps closing on loads of sites. Grrrrr. Bloody internet.

so slow cannot play bejewwelled blitz on face book just freezes I am going to have to do some ironing now lol

Snowballs4girlz, you might want to run Spybot as it looks for stuff like that. Antivirus programs tend to look for different things.

Cornskilk, not sure about yours, but there has been some mention of a Firefox update causing problems I think. Have you tried using Internet Explorer to see if that is the same?

Also I understand that Firefox has a link on the start menu to run without addons. Sometimes that makes a difference if one of the addons is causing problems.

well it found 29 problems all red all tracking cookies and a oouple of PUPS do I fix them all ?

You can ignore 'tracking cookies' or delete them. They are more annoying then dangerous. As for the PUPs it depends on what they are.
If spybot thought they were serious it would probably have made that clear so they are borderline things. If you have the names we can check.

Well I pressed fix all and it did apart from fw it said were in use
computer sees ok

now its my connection could not get on aol tonight from 8 oclock til 11,30
