My newish TV seems to have gone funny

I bought a TV at the end of Jan and it seemed fine, though to be honest I've not watced it a lot. But I have watched Lost every week on it and it seemed fine. Well noticed today and yesterday that when the picture moves fast (ie; people dancing on X-factor) it seems very pixelated.

Its really annoying. We didn't get the highest spec TV but it was over £300 so I wouldn't expect it to be like this. Is it because I only got a 700 instead of a 1080. And it was 100Hz or whatever these numbers mean.

Do other peoples' TVs do this?

The only other reason I can think it may be doing it is we had to get a new Virgin cable box a couple of weeks ago as the old one stopped working. If the box is faulty could that be causing it?

Thanks.

I would think it was the cable box if you get your TV via that. If you were using a roof aerial I'd think it had shifted or a cable had got damaged.

What about the cable from the box to the TV? is it in properly and can you get a new cable in case it's faulty?

Oh and if power cables are tangled with aerial cables that doesn't help.

Thanks, will have a jiggle with the wires tomorrow and see if that helps. If not will get Virgin man back out.
