My friend has a second hand printer which she'd like to connect to her second-hand computer, butwe can't get it to connect. Does it need a driver? Where do we get one of those?

Yes, it needs a driver. Go to the website for the manufacture of the printer and download the driver from there.

Yes it will need a driver.

Go to teh manufacturers website and look for the driver for that make and model. Mpst are available to download online from teh manufacturer

You need a cable and a driver.

Assuming yoou have the cable, then get the driver from the manufacturers website.

You will need to know the make and MODEL of the printer, and the operating system on the PC

Wow thanks everyone. Does it cost to download the driver?

Not normally, no. If the company don't provide a driver for that printer any more then you may have to track one down elsewhere on the internet, but even that's likely to be free.
