Going to the Arundel in Cambridge. I can't seem to find any info on their website about internet access...but various other agencies whcih book with them say free WiFi is available (possibly only in public area's though).

Does this mean that I can take my laptop and MN? Will I have to sit in the corridor? Will it be obvious how to connect? Can someone leave a phone number so I can ring you up if I have a crisis and start suffering panic attacks when I can't get it working ?

Could you phone them and ask? Pretends it's for business use not MN obviously

You may have to sit in the bar and MN - it's a hard life

usually there is very clear info on how to connect.

I know it sounds sad...but I will be alone and what is a girl to do on a lonely night??

MN is my lifeline on boring nights in boring hotels. I have MN from the restaurant, bar and bedroom of far too many hotels - in fact I am now MNetting from my hotel room in Germany

You will have a lovely long bath.

You will flick through all the channels on the tv and play around with the music for a while. Because you can. Preferably with a large glass of wine (actually, add large-glass-of-wine at any stage).

You will fall onto the huge bed which will be all yours with a big whoomph and marvel at its largeness and comfortableness.

And then you will go to bed, eat chocolate and read a good book.

Or maybe that's what I'd do if I was in a posh hotel for a night on my own

Not sure I want to do it in teh bar TBH....I might have to get my knitting needles out instead

Do you use wireless at home? If so it should find the network automatically when you get there.

If you don't you might have to set up wireless.

Yes I use wireless at home.

Do I have to check anything securitywise?

I would just ask at reception when you get there - they will be able to tell you if there is a code or anything to put in. It should be very straightforward.
