Which is the best internet security package?

I am looking for a high quality security package after a nasty trojan horse experience using the free AVG programme! Which one should I get?

The machines I will instyall it on are not particularly high spec laptops.

help!

I had the AVG package (paid for, not the free one) and was happy with it. My old laptop since died, not related to any virus etc and I have McAffee installed, the trial version.

Both seem to work well so far, but I will lurk here in the hope that someone can give better advice as the trial period is almost over.

I am using Kaspersky, and had no probs, but it's about to end it's year run and I was hoping to find a free one, but if you don't think it is worth it I will pay to continue!

I have ordered Norton, will see how it goes once my PC is back from the medics

Mcafee all the way, imo.

I used to have Norton but it was a really huge programme and slowed my pc down considerably.
