We are thinking of getting the kids a computer for Xmas. They are 7 & 5. At the mo the like playing on Cbeebies games plus the older one has a very old laptop which he uses for playing Chess and messing about with clipart.
His friends all are into Lego star wars which I'd like to get for him. He's also started using internet to look up stuff for homework etc. Have looked at PC world brochure and am bamboozled - can we manage with something cheapish (i.e. < £400) or do we need one with a tip top graphics card to manage the games aspect?
We have BT wireless broadband and we were thinking of a laptop to make it easier for me to be in same room as them to help them if stuff goes wrong.
We have got a "grown ups" laptop but am quite keen to get something just for the kids so that if they download all kinds of junk from internet it doesn't mess up my data files/ photos etc
Over to you techies
