Heyelp heyelp (Penelope Pitstop style) - is anyone an i-tunes whizz?

OK so DP has gone away for a week and I need to fix this before he gets back and kills me.

Somehow when I was doing some playlist maintenance yesterday I managed to change the hard drive from being located on F to being located on G. All of our music is on here and i-tunes links to it...so now i-tunes won't work and I can't work out how to either redenote the hard drive back to the F drive (preferred option) or point i-tunes at the new G drive.

Anyone? I'd be most grateful!

Hmm thanks LL. That Advanced tab is telling me the folder is on the C drive, but I know all the music is stored on the external hard drive. I need to look into this but that's enormously helpful.

Am shitting it as DP already thinks I'm a technology fuckwit and he's just finished loading up our 600 CDs!

I'm an IT profssional too! But useless with the home stuff. How on earth do you think I changed the external hard drive letter? I have no idea how it happened.

I know I know am totally useless. I'm not a tech though - more project management.

Damn I wish I'd waited for you before I started tampering. I've now done the latter and it's only found some of the thousands of songs so I'm having to go in and manually change the others. Downside is DP will realise something has gone on when he sees a G rather than an F drive so I'll have to come somewhat clean.

If I'd waited I would have done the first thing you suggested because I then could have covered up any suggestion of my fuckwittedness!
